Cash help if your child starts school in August
IF you’re on certain benefits and your child is starting school in August you can get cash help from the Scottish Government.
School Age Payment grants of £250 are available to people claiming Universal Credit, Housing Benefit and some other benefits.
The cash payments will provide extra support to families of children who start primary one on August 11.
The money is available for kids born between 1 March 2015 and 29 February 2016.
Applications for School Age Payment grants are open until February next year.
