Building insurance claim
Making a claim for building insurance is quick and easy.
It is up to you to make a claim for building insurance.
To make a claim, simply contact Direct Group - the loss adjustor which provides the claims service for Ageas - on 03444 124 221.

Direct Group will ask you to confirm you are the homeowner and insured person, as named on your insurance schedule, for the property. You will be asked for your name, address and telephone number. You may also be asked for your date of birth to verify you are the insured person. You will be asked to confirm the nature of the damage and how it happened.
Direct Group will handle the administration for your insurance claim. This may include sending out a loss adjuster to assess the damage and determine a course of action in liaison with ourselves. If the damage has already been repaired, they will contact us to get the necessary documentation and costs to make payment to you.
If you have an out-of-hours emergency the normal contact number will tell you the number to call. Alternatively you can call 0845 873 7332 in an emergency situation.
You may have to claim both your buildings and contents insurance if you suffer from burst pipes after a period of freezing weather. Furniture, carpets and other movable items will be covered by contents cover if you have it. The repair of walls and floors will be covered by the buildings insurance.
